The homeowners main design goal was to create an open, modern kitchen in a narrow space. The original kitchen had a peninsula and they really desired an island. They wanted a sleek contemporary kitchen with some traditional elements since the rest of the home is a colonial with traditional styling. Creating additional storage was very important. One major limitation was the lack of counterspace. We incorporated The Galley workstation into the design to eliminate the need for counterspace for prepping, rinsing and serving food.
