The KRB Design and Retail Purchasing Option

In addition to offering full service kitchen and bath remodeling, KRB also helps homeowners who are seeking to buy kitchen and bath products that will be installed by others.

So, whether you plan to install them yourself- or already have your own professional contractor, we can help you with designing, comparing, selecting, specifying, and purchasing your kitchen and bathroom products.

The KRB Kitchen + Bath Design Center, is a full-service, one-stop shopping design and idea center.  We have over 25 years’ experience helping homeowners with kitchen and bath design services.  That means you can work with just one business for all the kitchen and bath products you need including design, product comparison, and selection.

Purpose: Getting to know each other and your product needs to make sure we will be a good fit working together

Things we will want to discuss at our showroom visit may include:

  • Are you working with a contractor who will be installing for you?
  • Who will be making and or assisting you with all the final decisions?
  • Who will be paying for the products- you or your contractor?
  • Are you going to be doing all the work yourself or just the cabinet installation?
  • Are you the contractor who will be making all the decisions for yourself, or for your client?
  • The reasons and or purposes for considering your remodeling project
  • Your desired timeframe, including when your products will be needed
  • Delivery date, where is the product being delivered, who is delivering it and who will be there to accept and upload it?
  • The project and product style, and/or design you are looking for
  • Important things we need to know about you and your family
  • What you have set aside as a budget for your product purchases or what you should expect the budget range to be
  • How and when you plan to make product related decisions

Purpose: Begin the process of designing to your needs and budget, and confirm details before purchasing.

If you decide to work with the team at KRB we will enter a preliminary design agreement based on the information shared at your initial showroom meeting using you or your builder’s measurements.

For this preliminary design agreement, we charge a nonrefundable, prepaid fee of $250.00.

Please note that KRB does not release any drawings, plans, or perspectives until we have a signed product selection contract and the required non-refundable deposit.

To help both of us with the design and selection of your kitchen or bathroom products from our design center showroom, you will need to gather detailed appliance and/or fixture specifications related to your project. This will help both of us further identify a preliminary, but realistic cost budget for your project’s materials.

If the preliminary design and associated product budget meet your satisfaction, the next step will be to schedule a measurement review at your home to confirm measurements- as well as the practicality of the initial design and product list.

When working with you at your home, we will review the design layout that was initially put together using your or your builder’s measurements. If you are not doing the installation yourself, KRB requires both the homeowner and the installer/builder to be present for this meeting. While there together, we will gather any information needed and then make any necessary changes to the initial design back at our showroom.

After the measurement review visit we will be able to provide you with firm product pricing.

Purpose: Finalize the design and help you confirm things before ordering

After the Measurement Review Visit, we will schedule a return visit for you at the showroom to review any changes made to the layout based on the Measurement Review, and we will review all final product selections.

Before ordering anything, we will prepare for your review and acceptance a Product Selection Contract, which will have all the finalized selections and product specifications. At this point, we will also ask for a 50% deposit to confirm your acceptance and begin the ordering process.

Once all anticipated delivery dates for products ordered have been confirmed, we will schedule a tentative delivery date with you or your builder. Depending on how large the product order is, KRB will either have the product shipped to our showroom or to our warehouse. Once our warehouse or showroom receives the product and makes sure it is in good condition, we will confirm a delivery date to your residence. We offer ‘Tailgate delivery”. Unless otherwise agreed to in advance, the delivery driver will leave all products being delivered in your driveway or garage. Moving the delivered products from the tailgate delivery location to anywhere else is not typically included.  KRB may be able to provide additional delivery assistance if discussed at the time of placing your order.

Final payment for all products will be required prior to delivery. However, payment in full will be required for any merchandise asked to be held in the KRB warehouse until your project is ready for delivery. In the event of your project not being ready for the confirmed delivery date, there will be a weekly charge for a storage fee. The storage fee is determined by size of order and will be discussed in the Product Selection Contract.
